After the board exams were canceled, CBSE formed a 13-member committee to develop objective criteria for evaluating class 12 pupils. Within ten days, the panel will submit its report, after which the assessment criteria will be disclosed.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said, “In view of the uncertain conditions due to Covid and the feedback obtained from various stakeholders, it was decided that class 12 board exams of CBSE will not be held this year.”
He further added, “It was also decided that CBSE will take steps to compile the results as per well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. A 13-member committee has been constituted for the purpose. The panel will submit its report within 10 days.”

CBSE, states canceled Class 12 board exams
Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a high-level meeting on June 1, during which he declared that the CBSE Class 12 board exams will be canceled this year. Following this revelation, CISCE declared that the Class 12 exams will be canceled.
PM Modi stated that the decision was made in the best interests of kids and that the worry experienced by kids, parents, and teachers must be alleviated. He further stated that under the existing circumstances, kids in this country should not be pushed to take tests.
Students and parents were relieved when the board examinations were canceled, as they had been advocating for it for several months. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, several states opted to cancel their Class 12 board exams after the Centre's statement.
