Section I Language

  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 80 to 90 for each section.

  • Minimum Qualifying Marks Section IA and IB as a whole: 160 to 180 marks

  • Exemption to reserved category: 5%

It is bifurcated into two parts Section IA and Section IB.  Here are the candidate's needs to choose three languages.

There must be a domain-specific language. If a student wants to pursue a bachelor's degree in a language, they can only take five tests across five distinct subject areas.

The language portion of the exam will spend the majority of its time examining a student's comprehension of both facts and literary passages. The vocabulary and literary skills of the learner will be evaluated in this part.

In the language of their choosing, students have 45 minutes to respond to at least 40 of the 50 questions.

Section II: Domain-specific subjects

  • Total marks of section: 300

  • Minimum Qualifying marks: 120-135

Students can select up to six domains from a list of 27 disciplines, except for the opportunity to take three languages.

On each domain-specific topic test, students must attempt at least 40 of the 50 questions to pass.

There is a 45-minute time restriction for each domain-subject test. The various test portions will only contain questions from Class 12.

Students who have studied the material from the CUET (UG)-2023 Class XII Board should do well.

Secondary schools connected to the Central Board of Secondary Education employ NCERT solutions created by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCSERT). States mostly use NCERT textbooks for science and math instruction.

Section III General Aptitude Exam

  • Total marks of section: 300

  • Minimum Qualifying marks: 120-135

The general test will evaluate a candidate's general knowledge, current affairs knowledge, general mental ability, math abilities, and quantitative thinking.

The test's 75 questions must be answered in 60 minutes by the students. S

Last but not least, a student has to get 300–400 marks to be eligible for CUET 2023; however, if you're hoping to get into a certain institution, check the CUET eligibility standards and aim for the same; each participating university has its requirements.

Additionally, bear in mind that most institutions weight CUET scores at 85%, with the remaining 15% coming from the interview.

Students must achieve scores that are at or above the CUET cut-off or the required percentage for their selected university in addition to the required 60 per cent. Whether the CUET cut-off should be stated in terms of marks, percentiles, or a ranking is up to the participating universities. For further consideration, only applicants who reach or above the CUET cut-off marks will be contacted. The CUET aptitude tests are like any other exam in that there are no shortcuts. Dedicate a specified amount of time each day to working on a particular subject. Making things into manageable pieces is one of the finest skills to acquire. The greatest method to get great outcomes is to practise, practise, and then some more.
