Explanation- India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C51 (PSLV-C51) rocket loaded with 19 satellites from Brazil, USA and India was successfully launched off from the rocket port at Sharika on 28 Feb.

After four stages of separation, the rocket launched  Brazil's 637 kilogram Amazonia 1 satellite, its primary passenger.Later after a gap of more than an hour it launched the remaining 18 passenger satellites. This is the first commercial mission of New space India limited. Amazonia-1 is the optical earth observation satellite of National Institute for Space Research (INPE)-Brazil.

The IAF Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) had earlier toured Sri Lanka in 2001 for the 50th anniversary celebrations of SLAF.

He is a 1982-batch Indian Revenue Service officer, was appointed as the CBDT chief in February 2019.

Explanation- COVAXIN is India's indigenous COVID-19 vaccine by Bharat Biotech, developed in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) - National Institute of Virology (NIV). The vaccine is developed using Whole-Virion Inactivated Vero Cell derived platform technology. Inactivated vaccines do not replicate and are therefore unlikely to revert and cause pathological effects. They contain dead virus, incapable of infecting people but still able to instruct the immune system to mount a defensive reaction against an infection. Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech recently said that its vaccine against Covid-19 had demonstrated 81 per cent interim efficacy in phase 3 clinical trials in protecting participants without prior infection after the second dose.

Earlier India had declared 2018 as the year of millets.
