You can follow the tips mentioned below to reduce stress and fare well in competitive exams:
  • Ensure you get a good night’s sleep of at least 7  hours everyday . Lack of adequate sleep can slower your mind thus  significantly slow hampering your speed and accuracy  and lead to  increase in stress levels . Do not try studying new topics the night before the exam as this will only leave you confused . Try revising your notes but don't be harsh on yourself . Pick only those things for revision  which are utmost important.
  • Taking daily breaks is essential. This would encourage you to study even better because  of the refreshment you'll get  in studying right after taking a break .  When you sit to study for a longer period, take a 15 to 20-minute break  sometime in between . Study breaks will ease your mind and allow you to return to your studies with greater vigor. During these breaks engage in activities you love.
  • Exercise boosts your memory and thinking skills both directly and indirectly. It acts directly on the body by stimulating physiological changes such as reductions in insulin resistance and inflammation, along with encouraging production of growth factors — chemicals that affect the growth of new blood vessels in the brain, and even the abundance, survival, and overall health of new brain cells.
