National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the JEE Main exam as well as declares the results and administers the counseling process. JEE Main is considered to be the preliminary stage. Students who clear this stage are provided admissions in 20 IIITs, 31 NITs, and 18 other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). It is essential for the candidates to clear the exam and score the top ranks. Only those who are in the top ranks are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
This exam is conducted twice a year. Hence, JEE Main 2021 will also be conducted in multiple sessions – one in January and the other in April. Students can appear for any of the two sessions. The best score out of the two exams of JEE Main will be considered for admissions or make the student eligible for JEE Advanced. The merit list of the JEE Main is based on percentile scores.
