Google Introduces a New AI Search Engine:
Google announced in a blog post on Thursday the debut of Search Generative Experience, or SGE, an experimental version of Search that blends artificial intelligence responses directly into results.  In contrast to a standard Google Search, which returns a list of blue links, SGE employs AI to answer your queries directly on the Google Search homepage. When you input a question into Google Search, a green or blue box will grow with a novel answer created by Google's big language model, similar to the one that powers OpenAI's ChatGPT.

When constructing an answer, Google takes this information from websites and connects it to sources. In SGE, you may also ask follow-up questions to achieve more accurate findings.  SGE is currently not available to the general public and needs registration with Google's Search Labs. To join, follow this link. Search Labs is presently only available to a small number of people in the United States and in English, however, you can join the queue. SGE may be viewed using the Chrome desktop web browser or the Google applications for Android and iOS.

Google did not reply to a comment request. Companies have begun adding generative AI capabilities to their products in response to rising public interest after the debut of ChatGPT late last year, an AI chatbot that could answer virtually every inquiry with a unique answer. Google introduced Bard, an AI chatbot comparable to ChatGPT, earlier this year. Microsoft then integrated ChatGPT straight into Bing, including an AI picture generator driven by Dall-E, which is also powered by OpenAI. AI chatbots are driven by a large language model, or LLM, a system that writes sentences that resemble human language using a big database of text data.

When producing sentences, the model simply seeks to find out what the next best word should be, a technique that has been referred to as "autocomplete on steroids. AI was also a major theme at Google I/O, the search giant's annual developer conference, with the phrase being mentioned more than 140 times throughout the two-hour presentation. Cathy Edwards, Google's vice president of engineering, stated during I/O that with a typical Google Search, consumers must break complex searches down into many questions, comb through websites for information, and develop the solution in their brains. The AI in SGE can handle all of that for you.

Google's AI-powered search engine employs artificial intelligence and machine learning to better understand user queries and offer more relevant results. It goes beyond traditional keyword-based search by taking into account the context of the query, user history, and even natural language comprehension. This means that when you search for anything, even if your query isn't properly phrased, you're more likely to get exactly what you're looking for. The capacity of an AI-powered search to give personalized results is one of its most prominent features. It fine-tunes the results it displays over time based on your search history and activity. This ensures that as you use it more, your search results will get more accurate and tailored. It's like having your own personal search assistant.
