Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2021 : Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released the notification for recruitment of candidates for the posts of Constables (Group C). The notification was released on 30th December, 2021. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for HSSC Police Constable Recruitment 2021 till 10th February, 2021 on the official website of HSSC. This is a golden opportunity for candidates who are aspiring tp work with the police department in the state of Haryana. There are about 7298 vacancies.

Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2021 : Selection Procedure

There are multiple tests in Haryana Police Constable Recruitment which are as follows:
  • Knowledge Test
  • Physical Screening Test
  • Physical Measurement Test
  • Document Verification
Knowledge Test : Pattern and Syllabus
This is a written exam which is objective in nature. It consists of multiple choice questions. Each question carries 0.80 marks. There are 100 questions asked in the exam. Hence the paper is of 80 marks. The total time duration for the exam is 90 minutes. It is a bilingual paper and there is no negative marking. The questions are basic in nature which are asked from varied range of topics such as General Awareness, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Mathematics, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture etc.

HSSC Syllabus
Subject Syllabus
General Science Questions are asked from basic physics, chemistry and biology. Questions are designed to assess the conceptual clarity of the candidates.
General Studies Questions are asked from History, Geography, Economics, Polity, Culture and Administration.
Current Affairs All the news of national and international importance are important for this exam. Questions will be from current affairs and events which are related to economy, science and technology, art and culture etc.
Reasoning Questions are asked from topics such as coding-decoding, analogies, similarities and differences, problem solving etc.
Mathematics  Questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc. are asked.
Animal Husbandry Animal breeds, animal nutrition, livestock farming, dairy, importance of animals, diseases in animals etc.
Agriculture History and development of agriculture, cropping patterns, soil and fertility, irrigation, horticulture, plantation and deforestation are the topics from which questions are asked.


Physical Screening Test
This test is qualifying in nature. Candidates who qualify the Knowledge Test which will be approximately 7 times the number of vacancies will appear for this test. This test is designed to check the physical fitness of the candidates. The standards for this test are as follows:
Candidates Distance Qualifying Time
Male 2.5km 12 minutes
Female 1.0km 6 minutes
Ex-Servicemen 1.0km 5 minutes

Physical Measurement Test
Candidates who qualify Physical Screening Test appear for this test which is qualifying in nature. The criteria for this test is as follows:
  Height Chest
Male UR-170cm
Reserved Category-168cm
UR-83cm (unexpanded) to 87cm (expanded)
Reserved Category- 81cm (unexpanded) to 85cm (expanded)
Female UR-158cm
Reserved Category-156cm
 

Document Verification
Candidates who qualify the above mentioned tests have to get their documents verified.
Education (maximum 07 marks): Candidate with higher education i.e. with Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University shall get four (04) marks: while, candidate with post Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University shall get additional three (03) marks.
