Assam Rifles Exam Pattern 2022
The selection process of the Assam Rifles Recruitment Rally includes the following major rounds:
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Written Test (Exempted for Compassionate Ground Appointment)
- Trade Test (Skill Test)
- Medical and Review Medical Test
- Merit List
Written Test
Following are the key highlights of the written test as per Assam Rifles Exam pattern 2022:
- The written exam of Assam Rifles will be conducted in offline mode.
- The written test will be of objective type having 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- The written paper will include 4 different sections - English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and General Awareness.
- Each section has 25 questions with an equal weightage of marks i.e. Each question carries 1 mark.
- There is no mention of negative marking.

NCC certificate holders will be granted following incentive marks provisionally which will be added to the normalized scores of the candidates:-
(1) NCC 'C' certificate: 5 marks
(2) NCC 'B' certificate: 3 marks
(3) NCC 'A' certificate: 2 marks.
The benefit to NCC certificate holders will only be given on production of the original certificate supporting their claims at the time of document verification.
Trade/ Skill Test
Technical and Tradesman personnel other than Clerks & PA will be undergoing a trade test after the successful completion of the written test. The trade test will be qualifying in nature. Those who clear the test will go through Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME). Candidates applying for the post of Clerks & PA will have to undergo the trade test after the completion of the PET/PST in continuation but will be appearing for the written test along with other trades only.
Detailed Medical Examination (ME) and Review Medical Examination (RME)
Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) will be conducted in terms of Uniform Guidelines for recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs. Review Medical Examination (RME) of Unfit candidates in Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will be conducted in continuation.
