HPSC PGT Eligibility- Nationality
The following candidates can apply for the post:
- Candidates must be an Indian citizen
- Candidates from all over India can apply for the HPSC PGT post with the other requirements fulfilled.
HPSC PGT Eligibility- Age Limit
The age limit is an important criterion before making an application. Candidates who fall into a certain age group can apply for the opportunity. As per the official notification, candidates in the age group of 21 to 42 can make an application. There are relaxations in the age groups for certain reserved groups. The details are as follows:

HPSC PGT Eligibility- Educational Qualification
There are two sets of educational qualification - The general qualification for all the candidates and the specific qualification as per the subject of the candidates. The details on educational qualifications are as follows:
Common eligibility criteria that is applicable to each post.
- The candidates must have Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the languages in Matriculation or Higher or must have 10+2/BA/MA with Hindi as one of the subjects.
- They should also have qualified in the HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) or STET (School Teacher Eligibility Test).
- The candidates must have passed a Master's (M.A. / M.Sc/ M.Com, etc) in the concerned discipline with at least 50% marks and B.Ed from a recognized university. Also note that for Computer Science, the candidates must have passed master with 55% marks.
- The candidates must also have a consistently good academic record.

HPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria: Number of Attempts
There is no limit on the number of attempts. Candidates can appear for HPSC PGT exam as many times as they like provided they satisfy the above-mentioned eligibility criteria.
