Why bother learning shortcuts?
Keyboard shortcuts are useful because they save time and boost productivity. A shortcut may only help you save a few seconds at a time, but when used frequently, those seconds add up to minutes and hours. For similar reasons, most people enjoy other common shortcuts such as WiFi, remote controls, microwaves, and quick food, including taking literal shortcuts in their vehicle. The best part regarding keyboard shortcuts is that there is a very standard approach that is utilized across many applications. This means that the time spent learning them for one software can be easily transferred to numerous others.
