SSC CGL is a national level exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission every year. Candidates who qualify this exam are recruited to serve at various non-gazetted Group B and Group C posts in various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. There are four stages in this exam- Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and skill test if applicable. Every year around 15 lakh candidates appear for this exam. How many stages are there in SSC CGL Exam?

What is the pattern of SSC CGL Tier I Exam?

The exam pattern for Tier I is as follows:

What is the pattern of SSC CGL Tier II Exam?

The exam pattern is illustrated below:

  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • In Tier-II, there will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper-III and Paper-IV.

What is the pattern of SSC CGL Tier III Exam?

SSC CGL Tier III Exam is a descriptive paper. Only those candidates who qualify Tier II will be allowed to be appear for this exam. The exam pattern is as follows:
