The Education Ministry has clarified through a statement today that the syllabbus for NEET 2021 and JEE 2021 will remain unchanged and there will be no reduction in the syllabus.
This notice came as a clarification after Dr.
Ramesh Pokhriyal, the Education Minister had hinted that there could be possible reduction in the syllabus for NEET 2021 and JEE 2021 as the syllabus for CBSE Class 12 was reduced because of the difficult situations created by the pandemic.
Though the syllabus will remain unchanged, it has been stated that the pattern for JEE 2021 will change wherein candidates will have more options in the questions.
"The syllabus of JEE and NEET will remain unchanged for the year 2021.
However, unlike previous years, this year the candidates will have options to answer the questions in JEE and NEET Examinations,” said the Education Ministry.
The number of questions asked in JEE Mains 2021 has been increased to 90.
There will be 30 questions asked from each section and candidates will have to attempt 25 questions from each section.
The details of the final exam pattern are yet to be released.
JEE Mains 2021 exam will be held in four sessions this year, in February, March, April and May 2021.
