Odisha Police SI Recruitment 2025: The Odisha Police Recruitment Board has announced the recruitment for 933 Sub-Inspector (SI) and other positions. Interested candidates can visit the official website, i.e., odishapolice.gov.in, to submit their applications for the available posts.
This recruitment drive is aimed at filling a total of 933 vacancies, with 609 positions for Sub-Inspector of Police, 253 for Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed), 47 for Station Officers in the Fire Service, and 24 for Assistant Jailors.
In the official notification, candidates have been advised to submit their online applications well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute issues. The notification states, “Applicants are advised to submit online applications much before the closing date and not wait until the last date. This is to avoid the possibility of disconnection or failure to log in due to heavy traffic on the portal during the final days.”
The Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) also mentioned that they will not be held responsible if applicants fail to submit their applications due to issues beyond their control, including the portal being overloaded on the last day.
Odisha Police SI Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must be between 21 and 25 years of age. However, there are relaxations for certain categories. SC, ST, SEBC, and Women candidates are eligible for a five-year age relaxation.
For ex-servicemen candidates, the entire duration of their service will be considered for relaxation. If a candidate qualifies for more than one age relaxation category, the one that provides the most benefit will be applied.

- Be of sound health and physique, free from any organic defect or body infirmity
- Be able to speak, read, and write Odia
- Passed ME school or higher examinations with Odia as a subject or passed HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium in non-language subjects or passed the written test in Odia in ME school standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha.
- Not have more than one spouse living
- Not have been convicted of any criminal offense.
