"UGC urges that all higher education institutions identify the earliest date of their undergraduate admission process after the CBSE releases the Class 12 results in order to give such kids for admission to undergraduate programmes," the head of the UGC stated on Twitter.
The circular was released in response to the CBSE board's request to the UGC that universities wait for the 2022 CBSE Class 12 results. Only a small percentage of schools in the nation are CBSE schools, and state boards enrol the vast majority of pupils. According to reports, after Mumbai University started the MU UG admissions process, the CBSE wrote to the UGC.
"It has come to our attention that several universities have started registration in undergraduate programmes for the session," the UGC stated in its most recent notice (2022-23). If the final date is set by the institutions before the announcement of the CBSE results, the students from CBSE will be denied admission in the undergraduate programmes in this case.

The first term's CBSE performance has already been shared with the schools. The UGC announced that the CBSE evaluation process is still under progress and that the process for announcing results will shortly start. Once the weighting based on the performance in both terms has been combined, the final CBSE results for 2022 will be released. It also said the entire process will take one month.
