Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was established in 1975, it is mandated to select staff for various Group B and Group C posts that come under various ministries in Government of India .SSC also recruits for non-ministerial posts. Each year SSC conducts pan India exams like SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC JE, SSC GD, SSC CPO, SSC MTS and SSC Stenographer exam. Each year lacks of candidates appear for above mentioned exams, in a hope to secure a government job under Government of India. In this space we will cover the most sought after exam conducted by SSC тАУ SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam or SSC CGL Exam.

Staff Services commission released notification for SSC Combined Graduate Level exam on 29th December 2020. As per our estimate approximately 30 lakh┬аcandidates┬аfilled┬аthe┬аSSC CGL application┬аform. The SSC CGL exam for the year 2020-21 has started from 13 th August 2021 and will be conducted till 24 th August 2021. There are total of 7035 vacancies for the year 2020-21.

What Is SSC CGL Exam?

This is a national level exam conducted by SSC each year. Through this exam candidates are recruited for Non Gaza teed Group B and Group C posts in varies Ministries and departments. Each year around 15 lack candidates appear for this exam. The candidates must have passed graduation in order to be eligible for this exam. The SSC CGL Exam is conducted in four stages, namely- Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 2 and Tier 4.

SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam Pattern

SSC CGL 2022 Tier-1 exam will be conducted online comprising of 4 sections with about a┬а100 questions in total and with maximum marks of 200.┬аThe entire exam is needed to be┬аcompleted in a time span of 60 minutes.

Tier-3 of SSC CGL will be a descriptive test.┬аThe paper will be in┬аEnglish/Hindi and will constitute of 100 marks. The entire paper needs to be┬аcompleted in 60 minutes.

Scheme of Exam - SSC CGLE

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2022

SSC CGL has made some changes in the examination pattern in the last few years. The interview round has been removed and the phases have been increased. There are four tiers in the SSC CGL exam and each one has a specified syllabus. While Tier 1 and 2 are conducted in online mode, Tier 3 and 4 are conducted in offline mode. The notification states the following:

  • Tier 1: Objective Type тАУ Computer Based Examination (CBT)
  • Tier 2: Objective Type тАУ Computer Based Examination (CBT)
  • Tier 3: Written Examination (Descriptive Type)
  • Tier 4: Computer Test / Skill Test (wherever applicable)
