Staff Selection Commission released notification for the SSC Combined Graduate Level exam on 29th December 2020. As per our estimate, approximately 30 lakh candidates filled out the SSC CGL application form. The SSC CGL exam for the year 2020-21 started on 13th August 2021 and will be conducted till 24th August 2021. There is a total of 7035 vacancies for the year 2020-21.
What Is SSC CGL Exam?
This is a national-level exam conducted by SSC each year. Through this exam, candidates are recruited for Non-Gazetted Group B and Group C posts in various Ministries and departments. Each year around 15 lack candidates appear for this exam. The candidates must have passed graduation in order to be eligible for this exam. The SSC CGL Exam is conducted in four stages, namely- Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 2 and Tier 4.

Scheme of Exam - SSC CGLE
SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2022
SSC CGL has made some changes in the examination pattern in the last few years. The interview round has been removed and the phases have been increased. There are four tiers in the SSC CGL exam and each one has a specified syllabus. While Tier 1 and 2 are conducted in online mode, Tier 3 and 4 are conducted in offline mode. The notification states the following:

About Exam:
Staff Selection Commission-Combined Higher Secondary Level (SSC MTS) is a national-level level exam conducted by SSC every year. The exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for various posts under different ministries/departments/offices of the Government of India. SSC MTS recruitment 2020-21 commenced on February 5, 2020.

SSC GD Exam
On July 17, 2021, Staff Services Commission released a notification for 25271 vacancies of Constables (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. The exam is more commonly known as SSC GD Exam. This year there are 22,424 vacancies for males and 2847 vacancies for females. The application process for the SSC GD exam is open till 31st August and the last date for the payment of the fee is 2nd September.2021. The exam date is yet to be released by SCC.
What is SSC GD Examination?
SSC General Duty exam is conducted to recruit suitable candidates in paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and other organizations under Home Ministry like NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. This is an all-India Level Exam and with lacks of candidates appearing for the exam. The eligibility criteria and exam pattern is given in the official notification. - No. 3-1/2020-P&P-I The Staff Selection Commission will conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR) as per the Recruitment Scheme formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and as per the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Ministry of Home Affairs and the Staff Selection Commission. The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination and Document Verification. The salient features of the recruitment are as under:
1.1 The Examination will be advertised by SSC based on vacancies intimated by MHA.

SSC GD Written Exam Pattern 2021
The first phase of the SSC GD exam is the online exam. Where candidates will have to secure marks more than a certain cutoff, in order to be eligible for other phases of the exam. Questions in Stage 1 are objective types that carry 1 mark each, stipulated time for completion of stage one is 2 hours. SSC GD Stage one is a bilingual exam, conducted in Hindi and English.

Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test Pattern
All candidates will have to undergo a physical endurance & measurement test. They should meet fixed criteria. Candidates not found medically fit are rejected.
Though there are no marks allotted for this test, it is mandatory to be physically fit if one is to serve in posts under BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. Following are the physical parameters set for males and females.

Know SSC GD- Syllabus & Other Details
SSC GD Exam Selection Process 2021
SSC GD selection process starts with the release of notification. The official SSC GD notification contains information about the number of vacancies, exam dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and other important information. This time it was released on 17th July 2021.
SSC GD Exam Application
Interested candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria are required to apply online for the examination. The application process is open for a specific time. The application fee for all candidates is Rs 100 and women/SC/ST/ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of the fee.
SSC GD Admit Card
Admit card for the SSC GD exam is released a month or so before the Stage one exam. Candidates who are considered eligible by SSC are given admit card for the 1 ST stage of examination. The admit cards are available online and can be downloaded from the official website of SSC.
SSC GD Computer-Based Test
All the candidates with valid admit cards can appear for this Stage. This is a computer-based exam, where 5 sections are tested for 100 marks in total. The candidates who are successful in this stage are called for the Physical Round.
SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test
The physical test is mandatory and there are no marks awarded for this exam. The candidates who meet the criteria are considered for the medical examination. Otherwise, candidates are rejected.
SSC CD Medical Examination
Before the final selection candidates who have made it through the written round and physical efficiency test are made to go through a medical examination.
SSC GD Final Result
After all the processes the candidates who are left are considered for the merit list by SSC. The marks of all the leftover candidates are compiled and released in form of a merit list by SSC on the official website along with the marks of all the candidates.
